Ashley Bunn, a victim of a shooting in Fremont, NE in February, is on a long road to recovery. Her ex-boyfriend shot her in the face, before killing himself during a police chase. The Fremont community is actively working to raise funds to assist Ashley and family with medical bills. First Christian Church of Fremont and the Tin Lizzy will be holding a benefit as well on April 15th to assist with raising funds for Ashley and her family.
Woodchuck Hard Cider
A long time ago, way back in 1990, there was a little winery in the town of Proctorsville, Vermont. Back then, they made their living producing a variety of apple wines, something not many wineries do. They also made a little cider called “Vermont Old-Fashioned Hard Cider” – not the most catchy name, yet pretty darn appropriate.
They set out to create a truly American hard cider… The Vermontiest of Vermonters are sometimes called “woodchucks” and this seemed like a pretty good name for their Vermont-based cider ..
