Local Fremont, Nebraska cover band Somewhat Sketchy is comprised of lead guitarist John, bassist Mike, drummer Joey and lead vocalist Jason, and they’re gaining more popularity with each performance. They have created quite a following, and we’re not just talking the faithful followers. Get yourself to a Somewhat Sketchy gig, and you will be a follower as well. These rockin’ boys have a camaraderie among them that is obvious when you see them play. There’s so much character, fun and great talent within this group. This crowd pleasing cover band provides their fans with songs old and new. You need to get out of the house and into Somewhat Sketchy. Seriously! These fun-loving rockers provide a unique spin on rock ‘n’ roll’s old school favorites, and new hits on the air waves, as well.
These awesome rockers do what they can to give back to their community, as well. In August of this year the guys played at the Rock for Pilger benefit, which was held at Tin Lizzy Tavern in Fremont. In case you’re not familiar, Pilger is the small community Northwest of Fremont that was hit by more than one tornado, all in the same day. Somewhat Sketchy also recently belted out tunes in support of the Valhalla Lincoln Support Party, held at the 501 Bar and Grill in Lincoln.
Here are a few reviews from some die-hard fans.
“I was born and raised in Fremont. I’m a party girl, and have seen these guys at Uncle Larry’s and Whis’s in Fremont, The Lucky Bucket in Omaha, and have seen them every time they have been at Tin Lizzy’s Tavern .. in fact, gonna see them there this weekend!” —Cammie Y.
